Liverpool have secured a big victory off the pitch after it was revealed the club only had to part with a small sum this summer in order to land both Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak. The Reds signed Wirtz, 22, and Isak, 25, in eye-catching deals which could eventually reach a combined total of £241 million (€278m/$326m).

Revealed: Just how low was Liverpool's initial payment?
The report states the combined first payments for Wirtz and Isak reached just £51.25m (€59.2m/$69.4m) this summer, with Liverpool set to pay the remainder of the transfer fees in later instalments. Wirtz arrived at Anfield for a guaranteed fee of £100m (€115.5m/$135.5m) with a further £16m (€18.4m/$21.6m) in achievable add-ons, while Isak joined for a British transfer record £125 million (€144.5m/$169.3m) with no add-ons included.

Wirtz and Isak collect international minutes for Sweden & Germany
Both players were in action during the recent international break, with Wirtz scoring in Germany's 3-1 victory over Northern Ireland in World Cup qualifying on Sunday. Meanwhile, Isak featured for just 18 minutes as Sweden slipped to a surprise 2-0 defeat against Kosovo on Monday.

Wirtz and Isak will both be looking to make an impact when Liverpool return to Premier League action against Burnley on Sunday.
